Truly Thankful on this Thanksgiving 🙆🏻‍♀️

if(you === ‘Wisen Space Member’) {
     return ‘Happy Thanksgiving’;
}

Gosh, we wish everyday is Thanksgiving day for Wisen.Space as we have so much to be grateful towards our incredible supporters, namely you: our parents and students everyday.

If anything, ever since we started our ambitious Wisen.Space journey, we realized it is not us doing the work but it is the parents and students feeding us and pushing us to do more and better in everything we do (unique curriculum development, leadership ideas via camps, hackathon volunteering etc…).

And here is what we are insanely grateful for :

-> Reached over 100 students since we started our Wisen.Space in less than a year ago through our wildly popular camps and regular courses

-> Opened 3 locations coding classes including one public school as after school program

-> Launched Hackathon (2018 Bayside_Wisen Space Hackathon) successfully for middle school students (unprecedented event for middle school students as hackathon events are mostly toward high school and beyond).

In essence, please continue supporting Wisen.Space toward our common goal (Empower our precious students to build their own tools to reach their full potential and make an impact in community and their network beyond just mastering coding skills). Let’s start coding portfolio to reach that ambitious dream!

Best Regards,

~ Team Wisen.Space

Summer Class finale at Palo Alto Coding Studio (8/19)

We thought everyone left town in summer for camps and traveling. So naturally, we planned to resume our regular coding classes like "Intro to JavaScript" when our students return to hometown. Surprise, surprise as we enrolled these 4 enthusiastic coders for our intro class at the beginning of the summer break. They all came from different backgrounds and interests like art, sports, and robotics. And they truly lived our vision (combining their favorite activities with coding) throughout hands on real projects after projects during the course. We had a blast during this mini final project hackathon plus potluck party. Parents signed up multiple dishes and brought gourmet food and cakes that we had a delicious banquet while witnessing wowing projects by each member.

Wisen Space Tech Coach got invited to prestigious 2018 Google Cloud Conference at San Francisco

Recieving a Google conference invitation is like getting a Christmas gift, especially when they offer you free admission for 3 days if you are an avid programmer. Wisen Space Tech Coach got an invitation honor to this cutting edge topic inundated conference and he absorbed so much hot and valuable tech trends and insights from the conference in San Francisco (July24~26). And all these valuable knowledge will be baked into our creative and real projects based curriculums starting from AI advanced class in September 2018. For the rest of us who did not get the invitation letter yet but for sure we will get one in the future, here is the one cool website our tech coach brought it back to us and shared with us. So check it out (www.kaggle.com - Goolge bought it a year ago and our tech coach got very good chat with its CTO).

Mini-Hackathon was a blast

Summer is too long without a hackathon for our Wisen Spacers. Our very first Hackathon in mid July. (7/22/208)

All the members have been working on the same project online since the beginning of the summer with weekly sync meeting. And this hackthon was their first gathering physically so the collaboration took off big time with many gaps found and new goals set up!
