🎯Attending Wisen’s multiple "real coding" projects camps 🏕 and building a strong coding portfolio already 🏂

Max Gan is an only 5th grader but his coding portfolio is already full and long! (Max’s web space)🤸🏻‍♂️ His coding portfolio is ranging from simple “Bubble Wand” project (he built it as a very first project during his Wisen summer coding camp last year) to more complex “MyAI” project which he just finished with a BANG💥during 2019 Wisen spring break AI & Python coding camp. “Internalization”- That’s the word comes to mind when Wisen thinks of Max’s impressive progress and accomplishments so far over one year. 😌 Due to his existing schedule conflicts, Max has been attending camps only Wisen has been running since 2018. Wisen vividly remembers how Max struggled at first with typical beginner’s errors like typo 📝🙈 and algorithm challenges during 2048 game building. But he came back again and again to our camps (total 4 camps within a year which add up to ~120hours of coding) and the result is simply astonishing! 🌪

Wisen can proudly declare he is the epitome of what we want to see in our students (capable of doing independent programming with solid fundamental knowledge such as CSS, HTML and JavaScript).👏In essence, Max not only retained his coding knowledge from previous camps but also he accelerated those crucial learning while making his understanding really concrete when he returned to camps in few months. 🐯🦁

Also equally outstanding progress Max has made along with his independent programming skills are his strong and confident presentation skills. 🎙A year ago, he was hesitant to come up to the front (pretty normal) and to share his work but now he always raises his hand when asked who wants to go first for their project presentation.🤓We can easily tell he is so eager to share his cool work and JavaScript code (we always ask to present their favorite line of one JS code). And Wisen firmly believes it all comes from his strong confidence and thorough understanding of what he has built and programmed line by line.👍

So anyone guess which summer camp Max signed up so far? 😂Yes, he signed up for our July “AI & Python” camp at Foster City. Why taking same course again? Because Wisen builds our own curriculum instead of downloading common online curriculum from internet. Wisen practices this in order to teach latest technology (including AI) to our students.🔝Hence, our students always can come back to our camps and reinforce their existing coding knowledge while learning new technologies through different projects under same topic such as AI.

We are so looking forward to meeting Max again in late July during our summer coding camp. Mostly though we miss his contagious and beaming smile when he presents his coding project. 🔜🔜🔜

Oh👆 one more unique thing about Max as his great quality and learning attitude: BEING BLUNT!! Max never holds any questions back during the lecture if he has any iota of lingering doubts about our lecture. He asks away without any hesitance and Wisen always welcomes his blunt questions.🤓

See you soon Max🙆🏻‍♀️
