How to combine music 🎸+ coding 💻 in one project😎

“I particularly enjoyed the teacher Mr.Lera because he was nice. In essence, the “LaunchPad” project & class introduced me to work on JavaScript first time. I didn’t understand it too much at first but got slightly better and better as each class progressed.”

Kyle joined Wisen’s class first time 7weeks ago when Wisen launched brand new class called “Real Coding with Art”👨🏻‍🎨 to introduce programming to many ART enthusiasts (🎵+ 🎨). And the class picked their project on the first day “LaunchPad”. And the “LaunchPad”team embarked their journey 🛳for the 7 weeks’ sailing. ⛵️

So what is the LaunchPad project ? 🤔

Pretty ambitious “ To do list” if you glance through each feature item here. This is the “LaunchPad” feature list created by entire class together with brainstorm session on the first class (Partially, this is where Wisen’s nickname “incubator” and “a team of engineers” came from). 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻

Can you guess “Which feature was easiest or hardest to implement?”

And the best way to check out how Kyle implemented this ambitious feature list for the last 7 weeks every Saturday afternoon (while so many temptations to go snowboarding 🏂 or movies 🍿or just chill out with his favorite video game 🎮 etc… allured him), click his project here titled “AnimatedLaunchPad” (available at his Webspace https://kyle.wisen.space).

As always, when you accomplish one mission, it opens another door for next adventure. We asked Kyle what’s his next mission with his 🆒”LaunchPad” project even though the class was over. He kindly elaborated his next adventure as follows;

“I want to create a musical instrument with JavaScript that would allow Wisen students to play music if they press certain keys with certain pattern instead of generating random noise”.🎸

Closing comment: Kyle’s older brother came to support Kyle’s presentation and test 🔍Kyle’s project on iPad to ensure everything worked perfect before the big presentation. And he approved Kyle’s awesome and perfect “LaunchPad” project.👍 What a wonderful team work and collaboration by two brothers! 🙆🏻‍♀️Kyle, please keep Wisen and your music fans posted with your ambitious plan and progress.📱📞
