Meet Wisen’s first student developer Intern - Brandon Liu
Cross Country 🏃🏻♂️Programming 💻 Interning (at Wisen) 👨🏻💻while attending high school as a junior🏫
In essence, that’s how Wisen can only remotely imagine Brandon’s unfathomably hectic lifestyle but he must be insanely busier than that.
Being a Junior in high school while juggling so many tasks at once must be daunting to say the least. Hence, Wisen is ever more excited when Brandon accepted Wisen’s offer to become Wisen’s very first student developer internship position. And this internship taking literally means he will be building Wisen software with other Wisen adult interns using his advanced programming skills he has harnessed over an year while taking numerous advanced courses such as algorithm and AI classes etc. Wisen thinks it is critical to have our student’s perspective and insights in our software development with Brandon and other future students interns in order to represent their opinions and interests best.
Prior to joining as a proud first student intern developer, Brandon also has worked at game company last summer and got below feedback from the manager:
“Brandon got the highest praise among all the interns from the management group he interned for. It was because mainly Brandon was very comprehensive in what he performed and also he took the initiative and did more than being asked”
So naturally Wisen is wondering what Brandon thinks of Wisen student intern experience so far compared to his previous game company intern experience 🤓
And here is what Brandon sums up how it feels like working as a first Wisen student developer intern so far😁
“The best part about interning at Wisen Space is the flexibility of my schedule. It has allowed me to balance my hectic workload of school work and extracurricular activities, a benefit most companies wouldn’t offer. I also like seeing the work I do implemented right in front of my eyes. When I make a change to a page’s CSS or add a few functionalities to the website, I’ll see it appear almost instantly. The instant gratification is really a booster to my morale and work ethic”
